Vijay Dube, President and CEO
 

Vijay Dube, President and CEOVijay has over 30 years of experience in mobile wireless, semiconductors, multi-media and consumer electronics. Vijay was formerly COO at Wavesat, a 4G Broadband Wireless company. He also served as Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at Atsana, a semiconductor company developing video and imaging chipsets for mobile handsets. Vijay co-founded Dipix Technologies, which was subsequently acquired by Dalsa-Coreco. He has been recently advising startup technology companies as part of his role with NRC-IRAP. Vijay holds a BASc in Systems Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo.

Rick Shorkey, Chief Financial Officer
 

Rick Shorkey, CFORick is a Chartered Accountant with more than 25 years of industry background filling senior financial and general management roles. He has broad experience in finance and management from private to public and small to large companies; software to semiconductors. In the last 10 years he has held CFO positions with several start-ups including: Bitflash Inc. (SVG software) where he played a key role in re-organizing and re-financing the company and its sale to a public entity; ATMOS Corporation (semiconductor embedded memory IP) where he played a key role in various financings and the sale of the company to a U.S. based public corporation; GMSI Inc. (formerly Gandalf Mobile Systems Inc.) which was a world leader in mobile data communications for the transportation industry.

Mike Borza, CTO
 

Mike Borza, CTOMike is responsible for technology strategy, and has over 20 years of experience with high technology companies. He has been an active contributor to the Security Task Group of IEEE 802.1 and was an editor of the 802.1AR Secure Device Identifier standard. Prior to founding Elliptic, he was a founder and CTO of network security appliances company Startle Networks. At Chrysalis-ITS (now Safenet), he worked with customers of the Luna series of network security processors as Director of Applications Engineering. Earlier in his career, he was involved in biometric identity management systems design, safety-critical systems engineering, and optoelectronics design and manufacturing. Mike was a founding director of the business networking forum: The Ottawa Network.

Patrick Offers, VP of Engineering
 

Patrick Offers, VP of Engineering Patrick Offers has many years of experience as an Engineering Manager in the technology and semiconductor fields. He is results-oriented, and has built and led high-performing engineering teams composed of staff with diverse backgrounds, in very small and very large companies, in different application areas, including from the ground up. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario, and is a founder and VP of Engineering at Elliptic Technologies Inc.

 

Dana Neustadter, Director of Product Management
  

Dana Neustadter, Director of Product ManagementDana has over 15 years of diversified experience in the areas of security IP, semiconductor and EDA. She joined Elliptic in 2003 and in her current role as Director of Product Management, Dana is responsible for establishing the strategic product vision and for managing the IP portfolio and marketing activities. Prior to joining Elliptic, Dana held various leadership and engineering roles, being involved with all aspects of ASIC/FPGA product definition, architecture and execution cycles. At Mitel Semiconductor, Chrysalis-ITS and Silicon Access Networks, Dana played key roles in the development and delivery of TDM switches, leading edge high performance network processors and security solutions in advanced technologies. Dana holds a Masters and Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering.

Russ Baker, Director of Global Field Applications
  

Dir. of Global Field ApplicationsRuss has 17 years of experience in the high technology industry, focusing on mobile hardware, software and semiconductor technologies. Prior to his 7 years working at Elliptic, Russ has also held Applications, Sales and Product Management roles in several semiconductor companies, including PMC-Sierra, Solidum and IDT and has also worked in the mobile data terminal system industry. He has also served as an advisor for several companies, including Avalon Microelectronics (recently acquired by Altera). Russ holds a B.Sc. in Electronics Engineering from the University of Calgary.

John Kumhyr, Director of International Sales
 

John Khumyr, Dir. International SalesJohn leads Elliptic's International Sales initiatives. He brings with him over 20 years of international business experience in sales, business development and marketing. Prior to Elliptic, John held senior positions with industry leaders including Infineon, Siemens, AMCC, PIKA and Gennum. He began his career as an engineer with Mitel Semiconductor and graduated from McMaster University holding degrees in Electrical Engineering and Business (B. Eng / B. Com).
