ESW-01: DTCP-IP SDK

Digital media is being rapidly adopted as the primary consumer and home entertainment medium. The technical demands of the digital home and the need to deliver rich audio and video content at home and outside the home have increased dramatically over the past years. Digital Transmission Content Protection over Internet Protocol (DTCP-IP) is a security technology for protecting high-value video and audio content on connected consumer electronics such as smartphones, tablets, digital TVs, set top boxes, gaming and other media devices.

Elliptic's complete ESW-01 DTCP-IP SDK solution complies with the latest specifications (DTCP revision 1.7 and DTCP-IP revision 1.4), including DTCP+, as required by the Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA). The ESW-01 can be deployed for both transmission (source) and receiver (sink) type applications and is designed to meet the DTLA robustness and compliance rules. The solution supports all four layers of protection: copy control information, device authentication and key exchange, content encryption and system renewability. As part of the DTCP+ capabilities, the ESW-01 also supports new Content Management Information (CMI) features, Digital Only Token (DOT), Copy Count (CC) encoded content, Protected Content Packet (PCP) version 2 and remote access.

The ESW-01 DTCP-IP SDK consists of firmware, standard APIs, hardware support and acceleration that run efficiently in limited resource environments. The solution integrates seamlessly on Android platforms and is delivered with sample Java-based transmitter, receiver and key management applications with JNI abstraction layer to the SDK.
